Pogacar Triumphs Again: A Monumental Ride in Liege

Tadej Pogacar clinched his third consecutive Liege-Bastogne-Liege title, surpassing young French debutant Paul Seixas during the final climb. Completing the race in just under six hours, Pogacar secured his fourth victory in this classic and moves closer to Belgium's Eddy Merckx's record. Seixas came in second, with Remco Evenepoel finishing third.

On Sunday, cycling sensation Tadej Pogacar dominated the renowned Liege-Bastogne-Liege race, securing his third consecutive title and fourth overall. Surpassing competitors during the challenging final climb, the Slovenian completed the 259.5-km race in five hours, 50 minutes, and 28 seconds.

Young French cyclist Paul Seixas, aged 19, kept pace alongside the seasoned Pogacar until the ascent at Cote de la Roche-aux-Faucons, falling behind with just under 14 km to go. Following the impressive attack that left others in his wake, Pogacar once again proved his mastery in the monumental circuit.

Seixas finished 45 seconds behind the winner, aiming to become the first Frenchman to win the Liege title in over four decades. Meanwhile, Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel clinched a sprint for third place. Pogacar's triumph now places him just one title behind the legendary Eddy Merckx, who set the record with five victories between 1969 and 1975.
