India Maintains Top Spot in ICC T20I Rankings
India continues to lead the ICC T20I rankings, followed by England and Australia. India made history by winning the T20 World Cup for a third time. The rankings, based on matches since May 2025, show minimal changes among the top seven teams, while teams like the USA and Bangladesh climbed the rankings.
India has successfully retained its position at the top of the ICC T20I rankings, showcasing their dominance in the cricketing world. The historic achievement follows their record-extending win of the T20 World Cup, co-hosted with Sri Lanka in March.
According to the ICC, the latest rankings evaluate matches played from May 2025 at full value, while those from the past two years carry a 50% weight. With 275 points, India maintains a narrow margin over England, who stand at 262, with Australia closely trailing at 258 points.
While the top seven team rankings remain largely stable, notable movements include Bangladesh rising to eighth place and the USA climbing to 13th. Despite some shifts, the list has decreased to 98 teams, as Fiji, Gambia, Greece, and Israel failed to meet the match requirements over the last three years.
