Venezia FC has garnered attention as Canadian rapper Drake and sports industry veteran Tim Leiweke make significant investments into the club. This news follows Venezia's recent promotion to Serie A, achieved with a crucial 2-2 draw against Spezia.
Having previously invested in the club in 2024, Drake was instrumental in bringing Leiweke on board alongside his daughter, Francesca Bodie, who assumes the role of club president. This investment totals a remarkable 100 million euros.
Leiweke, known for his administrative roles with the LA Galaxy and Toronto Maple Leafs, will serve as co-chairman. He expressed a commitment to cultivating excellence and success within Venezia, aiming to establish a culture that will permanently place the club in Serie A's elite.
