Gujarat Titans Crush Sunrisers Hyderabad with Historic Victory
Gujarat Titans (GT) secured their largest win in IPL history, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 82 runs. Robust performances from Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj led their stout defense of 169 runs, skittling SRH out for a meek 86. This marked GT's sixth successive victory against SRH.
In a record-breaking performance, Gujarat Titans (GT) registered their most significant victory in Indian Premier League (IPL) history by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 82 runs in Ahmedabad, surpassing their previous record set just two days earlier against Rajasthan Royals.
GT’s formidable bowling unit, spearheaded by Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj, played a pivotal role, restricting SRH to a paltry 86 runs in 14.5 overs. This remarkable effort ensured that none of the SRH batsmen reached the 20-run mark, further illustrating GT's dominance.
Opting to bowl first, SRH reduced GT to 26/2 initially. However, resilient knocks from Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar propelled GT to a competitive total of 168/5. In response, SRH struggled against GT’s aggressive bowling attack, ultimately crumbling under pressure and suffering their most significant defeat in terms of runs in IPL history.
