At the 3rd HCL National Doubles Squash Championships, top seeds Velavan Senthilkumar and Joshna Chinappa delivered an outstanding performance to seize the mixed doubles title. On Saturday, they triumphed over the second-seeded pair of Abhay Singh and Rathika Seelan with scores of 11-7, 11-9 in a thrilling final at the Indian Squash Academy.
Senthilkumar and Chinappa's excellence on the court extended to the individual men's and women's doubles events earlier in the tournament. Senthilkumar, partnered with Abhay Singh, claimed the men's doubles title by defeating second seeds Rahul Baitha and Suraj Kumar Chand 11-8, 11-5. This victory marked Senthilkumar's third consecutive year as champion.
In the women's doubles final, Chinappa and Rathika Seelan showcased their dominance by overcoming Janet Vidhi and Pooja Arthi with a convincing 11-8, 11-4 victory. Their victories highlight the players' formidable presence in the world of squash.
