Harmanpreet Singh, a standout drag-flicker, has resumed his captaincy to lead a 24-strong Indian men's hockey contingent for the FIH Pro League in Europe next month. This event marks a critical preparatory phase for the World Cup scheduled this August.

Harmanpreet, absent from the Hobart tournament earlier this year due to personal commitments, is steering the squad to Brussels for initial training and friendly matches from June 7-9. Subsequently, the team will engage in Pro League clashes against Germany and the Netherlands in Rotterdam from June 14-21 before advancing to London to face Pakistan and England from June 23-28. Hockey India's squad includes both seasoned players and promising talent, aligning strategic efforts as they gear up for the World Cup powered by Harmanpreet's leadership.

The defence squad features stalwarts like Amit Rohidas and Jugraj Singh, while Harmanpreet shoulders key responsibilities. Midfield duties are entrusted to veterans Hardik Singh and Manpreet Singh. The forward line is dynamic with skilled players like Mandeep Singh and Sukhjeet Singh aiming to outplay formidable competitors.

According to chief coach Craig Fulton, "Training is progressing excellently and the team is in top form. The upcoming Pro League matches against elite teams will be pivotal in evaluating our readiness for the World Cup." The squad also includes goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and alternates prepared for this extensive international challenge.
