Abdulhamid, currently on loan to Lens from Roma, had plans to unite with the Saudi team earlier this week in Riyadh prior to the camp. However, due to the incident, his schedule was interrupted. Saudi Arabia launched a preparatory stage in New York and Texas, conducting friendlies against Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Senegal. The team is on course to commence their World Cup journey against Uruguay in Miami this June.
