In a remarkable display of skill and composure, Sakshi Sunil Padekar finished seventh in the women's 10m Air Rifle final at the ISSF World Cup held in Munich, Germany. The 22-year-old from Maharashtra advanced to the final in third place, boasting an impressive score of 635.1, surpassed only by China's World No. 1 Wang Zifei and South Korea's Paris Olympics champion, Hyojin Ban.

In other results, 18-year-old Andelija Stevanovic from Serbia clinched gold in her debut senior World Cup event, with a thrilling final score of 252.3. Nobata Misaki of Japan secured her first senior World Cup medal, taking silver with a score of 252.0, while Wang Zifei settled for bronze, scoring 231.1. Despite a strong response that included two precise shots of 10.8 and 10.7, Sakshi concluded in seventh place after a close shoot-off with French contender Oceanne Mueller.

In the men's events, Olympian Anish Bhanwala ended Stage 1 of the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol in 18th place, with prospects of advancing to the final.
