Jordan has decided to grant public sector employees late start times during World Cup matchdays to support the national football team's first-ever appearance at the tournament.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan issued a decree setting official start times at 10 a.m. instead of the usual 8:30 a.m. for games against Austria, Algeria, and Argentina scheduled on June 17, 23, and 28 in the U.S.

This landmark move aims to allow citizens to back Al-Nashama, a team that unexpectedly qualified after finishing second to South Korea in the Asian qualifying group, igniting celebrations across the nation.
