In a stunning performance at Roland Garros, Mirra Andreeva ended Marta Kostyuk's remarkable 17-match winning streak, advancing to her first Grand Slam final. Andreeva, just 19, secured a convincing 6-1, 6-3 victory in a swift 76 minutes against the No. 15 seed Kostyuk.

This breakthrough makes Andreeva the third-youngest player in the 21st century to reach the French Open final, following in the footsteps of Kim Clijsters and Coco Gauff. She now gears up for the eighth tour-level final of her career, and her fourth of the 2026 season. Her impressive run could see her crowned the first teenage Grand Slam champion since Gauff's 2023 US Open win.

Andreeva will face qualifier Maja Chwalinska, who delivered a shock victory over No. 25 seed Diana Shnaider in the semifinals. This championship match will mark the maiden encounter between Andreeva and Chwalinska. Overcoming pre-match nerves, Andreeva expressed her excitement and determination in her pursuit of the coveted title.
