In a closely contested match, Ruturaj Gaikwad's exceptional century propelled India A to an eight-run victory against Sri Lanka A, inaugurating the Tri-Nation A Series on a high note. Held at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, India A overcame initial setbacks, thanks to Gaikwad's 101 from 114 balls.

Gaikwad anchored the innings masterfully, bolstered by significant contributions from captain Tilak Varma and power-hitter Suryansh Shedge, helping India A to a respectable 277/6. The late-inning acceleration set the stage for a formidable target for the hosts.
