In an intense competition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Toyota emerged victorious, surpassing BMW and Cadillac in the Hypercar category. Japan's Kamui Kobayashi, navigating the number seven car, clinched his second win, with Toyota's last triumph recorded in 2022.
The race, which began with BMW at pole position, saw Cadillac lead into the final quarter. However, technical setbacks disrupted Cadillac's momentum, causing them to fall behind. BMW's team, comprising Sheldon Van der Linde, Rene Rast, and Robin Frijns, secured second place, while Toyota's number eight car finished third.
The event witnessed significant twists as Cadillac's power steering troubles hampered their performance, much to the dismay of driver Sebastien Bourdais. Despite fierce competition, Toyota maintained a strategic edge, resulting in a celebrated win.
