In a remarkable feat, ticket sales for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics have surpassed 6 million, as revealed by organizers on Friday. Dubbed as the 'biggest sporting event in history,' the LA28 games promise a record-breaking 353 medal events, signaling an unprecedented athletic spectacle.

With the third public ticket sale slated for 2027, LA28 has announced changes to the purchasing process. Gone are the purchase limits and registration requirements for draws, enabling more fans to secure their spot using an LA28 ID. The first-come, first-served sale will feature additional inventory across all sports.

In a new development, the 2027 phase will introduce the first release of Paralympic tickets and an official resale program, with authorized channels like AXS and Eventim ensuring secure transactions. LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman emphasized the buoyant global anticipation for the Games, which will include new sports and Los Angeles as a host for its third Olympic and inaugural Paralympic Games.
