Reports: Bears releasing LB Acho

The Chicago Bears informed linebacker Sam Acho that he will be released, according to multiple reports. Acho, 30, played just four games last season. He tore a pectoral muscle in late September and finished the season on injured reserve. The Bears will save more than $2 million against the cap, according to the reports.

Acho started 12 games for the Bears in 2017, compiling 45 tackles and three sacks. Acho began his career with the Cardinals in 2011 and has recorded 17 sacks and 10 forced fumbles in eight seasons in the NFL.
