Tight end Demetrius Harris will sign a two-year deal with the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple reports on Wednesday. Harris spent the previous five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs as a blocking specialist.
With David Njoku already providing a pass-catching option for the Browns, Harris figures to play the same role he did with Kansas City. Harris, 27, joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
In 71 career games, Harris has 57 catches for 605 yards and six touchdowns. The move follows Tuesday's reported deal with the New York Giants that will bring superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to Cleveland.
