Government approves Haryana Sports University at Rai, Sonepat

Haryana Sports Minister, Anil Vij in a statement said, Haryana cabinet approves setting up of Haryana Sports University at Rai, Sonepat.

The University will have powers to conduct academic and training programs in physical education and sports sciences. Haryana Sports University will also include sports technology, sports medicine, sports management, sports infrastructure engineering, sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports journalism, sports marketing and more.

"It will have a Chancellor and a Vice-Chancellor an eminent person in the field of sports who shall either be a sportsperson of international repute or a renowned sports administrator or a renowned sports academician", Minister further added.
