Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has ended the contract of Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne, according to local media reports. The contract has been terminated on mutual consent.

A statement signed by FKF acting CEO Barry Otieno said, "Football Kenya Federation and Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne have agreed to terminate the coach's contract on mutual consent."

Consequently, FKF and Migné have agreed on a settlement for the coach, over a period of time.

The state by the federation said that the federation wishes to thank Coach Migné for his exemplary work and high standard of professionalism during his tenure, which culminated in the country qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for the first time in 15 years.

The reorganization and appointment process for a new technical bench is already underway and the team to steer the Harambee Stars forward will be announced shortly.

"We wish the coach all the best in his future endeavors, this even as we turn our focus on the upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers, with a view to try and qualify for the final tournament", the federation stated.

The French coach said in a Facebook post that he would like "to say goodbye to the fans, players, and staff of Harambee stars. When you get into a new sporting adventure, you do it with a lot of enthusiasm, but today I'm going to take a different path for the rest of my career."

Sebastien Migne further added, "following a reflection initiated after the CAN with my leaders, we concluded that it was better to stop our collaboration."

"Kenya will remain for me a great chapter of my life and such a wonderful country. We shared, together, beautiful emotions", the former head coach added.
