X-rays negative on Moustakas' hand

Brewers third baseman Mike Moustakas left the Monday game against the St. Louis Cardinals due to a sore left palm and wrist, but X-rays were negative, Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell said postgame. Moustakas was sore, leaving him unlikely to play Tuesday, according to Counsell.

The injury occurred when Harrison Bader's hard second-inning grounder struck Moustakas on the wrist and went for a leadoff single. Moustakas later committed a throwing error in the inning, during which the Cardinals scored six times en route to a 12-2 victory. Moustakas was replaced before the start of the third inning by shortstop Hernan Perez, with Cory Spangenberg moving from shortstop to third base. After going hitless in his lone at-bat Monday, Moustakas is 3-for-15 (.200) in his past six games. On the season, he is batting .263 with 31 homers and 76 RBIs in 121 games.
