Google will soon be launching a new feature called "Draft Responses" that will provide you with the ability to automatically save your progress in a Google Form for 30 days from your last edit.

When responding to a Google Form, Quiz or Quiz assignment in Classroom, the new feature will save your progress as a draft for 30 days, or until the form is completed, eliminating the need to start over if you can't complete a form or quiz in one sitting or if you want to switch between multiple devices, or if your internet connection cuts out before your responses get submitted.

Beginning next week, Draft Responses Beta for Google Forms will be available to Workspace for Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Education Standard, and Teaching and Learning Upgrade customers. The feature will have general availability by late Q2, 2021.

Google noted that during the beta, Google Forms will only automatically save the progress as a draft for users in your domain when they're logged in to their Workspace for Education account.

To participate in Draft Responses Beta for Google Forms, Google Workspace for Education admins can use this form.

The feature will not be available to Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus, as well as G Suite Basic, Business, Frontline, and Nonprofits customers.
