OnePlus 9/9 Pro receiving January 2024 security patch

The OnePlus 9/9 Pro units in India have started receiving the OxygenOS 14.0.0.212/202 update that incorporates the January 2024 Android security patch, battery and camera improvements and a couple of bug fixes.

More specifically, this build addresses an issue where swipe-up gestures might not work and removes the Background stream feature in the Smart Sidebar. In addition, the OxygenOS 14.0.0.212/202 update improves the stability of Wi-Fi and mobile network connections.

As customary, this OTA is rolling out in a staged manner, which means it will reach a small percentage of users today. OnePlus will commence a broader rollout in a few days. To check for the update manually, go to the device's Settings> System > System Updates.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is also rolling out the OxygenOS 14.0.0.212 update for the OnePlus 9RT in the India region. The update changelog for this build is the same as above.
