Google brings Bard’s latest capabilities to more languages and places
Further, Google is introducing image generation capability in Bard to help more of your ideas come to life, at no cost.
Google is adding new capabilities to Bard to make it an even more helpful and globally accessible AI chatbot. Starting today, Gemini Pro in Bard is coming to over 40 languages and more than 230 countries and territories.
Gemini Pro in Bard is far more capable at things like understanding, summarizing, reasoning, coding and planning.
"Last December, we brought Gemini Pro into Bard in English, giving Bard more advanced understanding, reasoning, summarizing and coding abilities. Today Gemini Pro in Bard will be available in over 40 languages and more than 230 countries and territories, so more people can collaborate with this faster, more capable version of Bard," Google wrote in a blog post.
In addition, Google is expanding its double-check feature to more than 40 languages. Bard's "Google it" button lets you more easily double-check its responses. When you click on the "G" icon, the AI chatbot will read the response and evaluate whether there is content across the web to substantiate it.
Further, Google is introducing image generation capability in Bard to help more of your ideas come to life, at no cost. To generate an image, simply type in a description like "create an image of a dog riding a surfboard" or "generate an image of a futuristic car driving through an old mountain road surrounded by nature" and Bard will generate custom, wide-ranging visuals.
The new image generation functionalities on Bard are powered by Imagen 2, Google's most advanced text-to-image technology which delivers high-quality, photorealistic outputs. Imagen 2 is designed to generate more lifelike images by using the natural distribution of its training data, instead of adopting a pre-programmed style.
