OnePlus 10R 5G receiving April 2024 Android security patch

The OnePlus 10R 5G has started receiving a new build, labelled OxygenOS 14.0.0.610, that bumps up the device's Android security patch level to April 2024.

In addition to bringing the latest Android security patch, this build brings several functional enhancements and new features to improve the overall user experience. Among the new additions, you will notice a "Partial screenshot" option now included in the Smart Sidebar and the Photos app has been upgraded to enable the creation of photo collages without frames.

  • You can now create photo collages without frames in Photos.
  • You can now press and hold the Volume Down button to turn the torch on when the screen is off.
  • You can now try out the "app-specific volume" feature to adjust the volume for individual apps based on your needs.
  • Improves the volume bar's design for ease of use and visual consistency.
  • Improves system stability.
  • Integrates the April 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.

In parallel, OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 14.0.0.600 to the OnePlus Pad, which includes similar features such as app-specific volume control, improved design of volume bar and more.

This update addresses a lag that might occur in recent tasks following landscape video playback and also incorporates the March 2024 Android security patch.
