Samsung Eyes Major Growth in India, Highlights R&D Contributions
Samsung sees significant growth opportunities in India and values the contributions of its India-based R&D teams in technological innovation. Vice Chairman Jong-Hee Han visited the Noida factory, praising the facility and Indian engineers. Samsung has major manufacturing units and three R&D centers in India, focusing on global and domestic markets.
India is rapidly emerging as a significant market for global tech giants, and Samsung sees vast growth potential in the country, according to senior company executive Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics.
During his visit to Samsung's Noida factory, Han highlighted the opportunities India offers, stating, "India is one of the biggest and fastest-growing markets globally and offers a huge opportunity for Samsung." He praised the Noida factory as a major global manufacturing hub.
Besides producing smartphones, tablets, and refrigerators for both domestic and global markets, Samsung's Indian R&D teams play a crucial role in developing new products and services. Han commended the tech-savvy young engineers driving AI advancements from the R&D centers in Noida and Bengaluru.
