Bharti Airtel Expands Wi-Fi Services to 2.5 Million New Households in Tamil Nadu

Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has made a significant stride in expanding its Wi-Fi enabled services in Tamil Nadu by including an additional 2.5 million households across the state.
The service now extends across 38 districts, among them Paramakudi, Coonoor, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, and Kancheepuram, the company confirmed on Wednesday.
'I am thrilled to announce that Airtel Wi-Fi has now reached every nook and corner of Tamil Nadu,' said Bharti Airtel CEO for Tamil Nadu, Tarun Virmani. 'Customers can now access a variety of entertainment options, including 20-plus OTTs and over 350 TV channels, with reliable high-speed connections starting at Rs 699 per month. We hope customers take full advantage of this and enjoy unlimited entertainment.'
The basic plan offers a speed of up to 40 Mbps at Rs 699, while the top-tier plan provides speeds of up to 1 Gbps for Rs 3,999, the company's statement concluded.
