Reliance Jio Celebrates 8th Anniversary with Exclusive Offers

Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, celebrates its 8th anniversary by offering special deals on recharge plans. Subscribers can get benefits worth Rs 700 on select plans. Jio, which disrupted the telecom market in 2016 with free calls and cheap data, now has over 490 million users and leads in 5G services.

Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, has marked its 8th anniversary milestone by announcing special offers on select recharge plans. Users who recharge between September 5 and September 10 will enjoy benefits worth Rs 700 on quarterly plans priced at Rs 899 and Rs 999, as well as an annual plan priced at Rs 3,599, according to Jio's website.

The benefits include subscriptions to 10 OTT platforms and a 10 GB data pack with 28-day validity, valued at Rs 175, as well as three months of Zomato Gold membership at no additional cost. The Rs 899 and Rs 999 plans feature a daily data limit of 2GB and validity of 90 and 98 days, respectively. The Rs 3,599 plan offers a daily data quota of 2.5 GB with a 365-day validity.

Since its entry into the market in September 2016, Jio has consistently disrupted the telecom industry with free voice calls and affordable data rates, quickly becoming the nation's leading carrier. In just 170 days, Jio crossed the 100-million customer mark. Today, with over 490 million subscribers, Jio continues to innovate, offering smart devices and advanced services, including 5G and AI platforms. Jio now handles 60 per cent of India's data traffic, and data costs in India remain the lowest globally.
