In a major boost to the technological landscape of Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy inaugurated Microsoft's new state-of-the-art campus on Thursday. Celebrating 25 years in the city, Microsoft aims to expand its workforce and enhance AI education and infrastructure across the state.
The new LEED-certified campus in Gachibowli is poised to accommodate an additional 2,500 employees, reinforcing Hyderabad's position as a pivotal hub in Microsoft's operations. The facility's inauguration coincides with Microsoft's announcement of its collaboration with Telangana's government to train over 1.2 lakh individuals in AI, spanning students, professionals, and government officials.
The strategic partnership encapsulates initiatives such as the ADVANTA(I)GE TELANGANA AI education program and the establishment of an AI Centre of Excellence. With a commitment to become an AI frontrunner, Microsoft will double its investment in hyperscale AI data centers, ensuring Hyderabad remains a crucial node in its global operations.
