Ukraine announced that it will not engage in discussions with Russia at the Munich meeting scheduled for Friday, as stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's communications adviser. They stress the importance of aligning with the U.S. and Europe to present a unified stance before negotiating with Moscow.
The decision comes amidst previous remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding expected U.S., Russian, and Ukrainian official meetings in Munich. However, Ukraine remains firm on not proceeding with direct talks with Russia at this time.
Dmytro Lytvyn, a communications adviser for Ukraine, confirmed the position, emphasizing that talks with Russia at Munich are not on the agenda, reflecting Ukraine's cautious diplomatic strategy.
