Karnataka Partners with SISA to Establish Cybersecurity Hub

The Karnataka government has entered into a significant partnership with SISA, a globally recognized leader in forensics-driven cybersecurity solutions, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a state-of-the-art cybersecurity center in Bengaluru. This event took place at the concluding day of the Invest Karnataka 2025 summit.
The agreement, valued at Rs 150 crore over three years, focuses on propelling cybersecurity innovation and skill development, establishing Karnataka as a pivotal hub for advanced research in securing digital payment systems. Dharshan Shanthamurthy, Founder and CEO of SISA, asserts that this collaboration will foster an environment for developing next-generation cybersecurity solutions.
The MoU, signed by S Selvakumar, Principal Secretary of the Commerce and Industries Department, reinforces Karnataka’s position as a global center for cybersecurity talent and innovation, further solidifying India’s role as a cybersecurity powerhouse. The center is set to employ up to 1,000 professionals, addressing rising threats in the payment industry as digital transactions become increasingly crucial worldwide.
