In a significant address, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning on education in India. Speaking on Saturday, she lauded the government's efforts to integrate AI into higher education and the proactive steps taken by the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, in launching AI-related courses in 2023.

Murmu underscored the importance of these technological advances being accessible to marginalized communities. During the platinum jubilee celebrations of BIT Mesra, she pointed out the necessity of inclusive growth and the importance of leveraging traditional knowledge along with new technology.

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing achievements in science and technology, including AI-enabled robots and self-driven cars.
