India's Aviation Soars: First Pilot Receives EPL License

The Civil Aviation Ministry of India introduced the Electronic Personnel License (EPL), awarding it first to pilot Ishita Bhargava. A landmark moment for Indian aviation unfolded as the first Electronic Personnel License (EPL) was awarded to Ishita Bhargava, a young pilot from Jabalpur. This digital innovation marks a significant leap in the modernization of India's aviation regulatory framework.

Unveiled by Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu in New Delhi, the EPL serves as a digital counterpart to traditional licenses. Available via the eGCA mobile application, the initiative promises enhanced safety, security, and efficiency for flight crews across the nation.

Making India the second country globally to implement such a system following China, the EPL underscores the nation's leadership in aviation advancements, as it replaces printed cards and ensures a seamless, secure licensing process, furthering the 'Digital India' and 'Ease of Doing Business' agendas.
