In a surprising twist, data concerning employee headcount and total wages at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) was inadvertently made public on the Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) website. Although this information was not classified, it was not meant for public access, according to an NRO spokesperson.

While representatives from Elon Musk's DOGE and the White House were yet to comment, the White House clarified that no classified information was shared. The NRO's data reportedly traces back to the Office of Personnel Management via the FedScope database.

Adding another layer, SpaceX, owned by Musk, holds a significant contract with NRO worth billions. An investigation by NRO Inspector General Terrence Edwards has been launched into whether the contract's solicitation process was manipulated to favor SpaceX, raising concerns about fairness.
