Government Partners with Paytm to Boost Indian Startup Ecosystem

The government has partnered with Paytm (One97 Communications Ltd) to provide crucial support to startups. This collaboration involves mentorship, infrastructure, market access, and funding opportunities, as confirmed by an official statement on Wednesday.
Signed between the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Paytm, the MoU aims to bolster innovation and expedite growth in manufacturing and fintech industries within India. The Commerce and Industry Ministry emphasized that this partnership will help startups scale and innovate through Paytm's expert guidance and resources.
The initiative intends to supply entrepreneurs with essential tools to create advanced financial technology solutions. The DPIIT revealed plans for mentorship in hardware fintech, regulatory assistance, and industry workshops to help startups develop viable fintech solutions. Additionally, infrastructure and market access support will be provided, leveraging Paytm's broad merchant network.
