Taiwanese PC giant Asus is setting its sights on a 30% growth in India's personal computer market by 2025, buoyed by rising demand for AI and gaming PCs. The company's strategy includes expanding sales channels and introducing lower-priced AI devices, according to a senior official.
Arnold Su, Asus India's Vice President for Consumer and Gaming, revealed that AI PCs will soon constitute up to 25-30% of the Indian consumer market, thanks to more affordable pricing. "AI PCs offer substantial opportunities not just for Asus but for the entire industry," Su told PTI.
Asus plans to widen its reach from 600 to 700 districts by 2025 and aims to strengthen its network of 4,500 active dealers. With a 40% market share in the India copilot PC segment, the company is poised for growth despite a sales dip in 2024.
