India's Semiconductor Milestone: First VeroTherm Tool Shipped

Yield Engineering Systems, Inc., a global leader in materials and interface engineering equipment solutions, announced the shipment of its first VeroTherm Formic Acid Reflow tool from its Indian facility. This marks a significant milestone for the country’s burgeoning semiconductor sector.

The Sulur-based facility, operational since September 2024, forms a key part of the company’s strategic global expansion plan, aimed at serving international clients. Manufactured for advanced semiconductor applications, this equipment underpins India’s aspiration for a self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Secretary highlighted the shipment as a remarkable advancement in the Indian semiconductor industry, aligning with national goals. Local government officials also emphasized this achievement as a testament to the state’s commitment to becoming a global semiconductor hub.
