Norway Boosts Ukraine with $641.9 Million Drone Support
Norway announced an allocation of 6.5 billion crowns ($641.9 million) to support Ukraine in acquiring drones and drone technology. In a significant move, Norway has declared a substantial fund of 6.5 billion crowns, amounting to $641.9 million, dedicated to enhancing Ukraine's defense through drone technology. This strategic step involves purchasing drones from Ukrainian and European manufacturers.
The Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere emphasized the critical role of drones in Ukraine's ongoing battle to protect itself. These unmanned aircraft are deemed essential not only for safeguarding vital infrastructure but also for their strategic utility on the battlefield.
This financial commitment is part of a broader plan, as Norway aims to allocate a total of 85 billion crowns towards various military and civilian aid measures for Ukraine by 2025 amid ongoing regional tensions.
