India's Stellar Ascent: Space Technology and Strategic Self-Reliance

India's space technology has advanced significantly, garnering global admiration. ISRO Chairman Dr. V Narayanan emphasized this progress at a CSIR-NIIST conclave. The collaboration between ISRO and CSIR under the National Critical Minerals Mission aims for technological sovereignty with innovations in materials and minerals. India's self-reliance and collaboration in space missions, such as the NISAR satellite launch, highlight its growing capabilities.

India's space technology achievements have reached a level that prompts admiration from global powers, ISRO Chairman Dr. V Narayanan declared on Friday.

Speaking at CSIR-NIIST's Golden Jubilee conclave on Critical Minerals and Materials, Narayanan highlighted India's advancements in space over the past fifty years, underscoring the nation's progress and self-reliance in strategic materials.

He noted the successful July 30 launch of the NISAR satellite with NASA as a testament to Indian expertise and called for synergistic efforts between ISRO and CSIR to advance technology and achieve sovereign control of critical resources.
