Equinix, a leading digital infrastructure firm, has inaugurated its AI-ready International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre in Chennai, marking its latest investment of USD 69 million in India.
Positioned within SIPCOT's land in the Siruseri area, the new centre, CN1, connects to Equinix's Mumbai campus, which is home to three other IBX data centres. This strategic move aims to bolster business digitisation and AI development across the nation.
Currently hosting over 300 companies in India, Equinix ensures businesses in Chennai gain low-latency access to a robust digital ecosystem. The new facility supports seamless on-ramps to major cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud.
