ChatGPT Atlas: AI Browser Revolutionizes Market
OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, an AI-powered browser, to compete against Google Chrome. This tool, built around the chatbot, includes features such as content summarization and product comparison. Initially available on macOS, it is set to expand to other platforms soon.
OpenAI introduced its latest innovation on Tuesday, unveiling ChatGPT Atlas, an AI-driven browser poised to challenge Google Chrome's stronghold on the market.
Alphabet, the tech giant behind Chrome, saw its shares dip by 2.6% in the afternoon following the announcement. ChatGPT Atlas joins a growing array of AI browsers, including Perplexity's Comet and Opera's Neon, which promise enhanced user experiences with capabilities like page summarization, form completion, and code drafting.
ChatGPT Atlas allows users to access a ChatGPT sidebar in any window, facilitating tasks such as content analysis, product comparison, and data examination. Its agent mode empowers users to complete tasks like trip planning seamlessly from start to finish. The browser, currently available globally on Apple's macOS, is slated for release on Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
