In a bold move to cement its status as a global leader in technology and innovation, Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced three major policies during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025. The Information Technology Policy, SpaceTech Policy, and Startup Policy are set to revolutionize the state's tech landscape.
The policies aim to position Karnataka at the forefront of global technology innovation, with the SpaceTech Policy targeting a 5% share in the global market by 2034. The Startup Policy seeks to enable the creation of 25,000 startups over the next five years, with strategic interventions in funding and talent development.
Beyond the capital, the state is also focusing on decentralizing tech opportunities through the 'Beyond Bengaluru' initiative to foster growth in Tier-2 cities. Siddaramaiah emphasized that Karnataka is not just a participant but a leader in the global tech revolution.
