AI Revolutionizes India's Food Distribution: ASHA and Beyond

The initiative complements other digital projects such as Bhandaran 360 and Smart EXIM Warehouse, aimed at enhancing warehousing and supply chain operations nationwide.

Minister of Food and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, introduced ASHA, an AI-powered platform designed to gather feedback from beneficiaries of the public distribution system. This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at reforming India's food supply chain management.
In addition to ASHA, other technological initiatives were unveiled, including Bhandaran 360 and the Smart EXIM Warehouse, both developed to streamline and modernize warehousing and freight operations. The Bhandaran 360 platform, built on SAP S/4HANA, integrates various operational modules to ensure efficiency and transparency.
The Food Corporation of India introduced ANNA DARPAN, a new platform unifying grain operations. These projects signify a significant step towards reducing logistics costs and improving service delivery in India's food distribution network.
