Futures linked to both the tech-focused Nasdaq and the blue-chip Dow were back in action on Friday, following a restoration by CME Group, the world's largest exchange operator. The resumption came after a prolonged outage attributed to a cooling problem at one of its data centers.
By 08:30 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis had gained 58 points, equal to a 0.12% rise, while Nasdaq 100 E-minis saw an increase of 75.25 points, translating to a 0.3% uptick. However, according to LSEG data, futures tied to the benchmark S&P 500 were still on hold.
The last recorded trade for these futures was at 09:44 p.m. ET on November 27, prior to the disruption.
