Ukraine's military is innovating in drone technology as it plans more advanced strikes against Russian forces. Although high-profile attacks in the Black Sea have declined, Kyiv's sea drone strategy has effectively constrained Russian naval operations, said the commander of Ukraine's maritime drone unit.

In an interview with The Associated Press, the officer, known only by the call sign "13th," highlighted the importance of Ukraine's Magura sea drones. Used in multiple strikes, these drones are evolving to incorporate artificial intelligence for better targeting and decision-making, ultimately reducing operator workload.

Despite Russia's tactical adjustments, Ukraine's drone program continues to hold its ground. Ukraine is aiming to boost cooperation with NATO nations to co-produce drones and enhance maritime defenses, positioning itself for future developments in maritime warfare.
