The National Soybean Research Institute in Indore has unveiled an innovative AI-powered mobile application aimed at boosting soybean crop yields. Dubbed 'Soybean Gyan,' the app provides farmers with precise, timely insights into crop health and market trends.
According to Dr. Savita Kolhe, Principal Scientist in Computer Applications, the app offers a distinctive AI-driven framework that assists farmers in managing crop diseases and pests. By uploading photos of their crops, farmers can instantly receive diagnostics and recommendations for pest and disease management.
In addition, the app includes a weather-based forecasting system, delivering advance warnings of potential disease or pest outbreaks, enabling farmers to take proactive measures. Besides, it features an AI chatbot for 24/7 assistance and offers real-time updates on soybean prices. The app supports multiple languages and is available for download on Google Play.
