Department of Economics and Statistics data reveals the overall number of telephone connections in Delhi has remained stable over the past eight years. While wireless connections have shown fluctuations, wireline services have steadily increased, indicating a shift in consumer preferences.
The number of wireless subscribers peaked at 6.11 crore in 2024, then slightly decreased to 6.08 crore in 2025. In contrast, wireline connections have consistently risen, reaching a new high in recent years, emphasizing a notable transformation in Delhi's telecom landscape.
