The global surge in artificial intelligence (AI) development offers substantial opportunities for Indian firms, according to Nasscom AI Head Ankit Bose. Addressing concerns about job losses, he assured that instead of cuts, AI will lead to job transformations and evolving roles in the workforce.

Bose emphasized that India's advantage lies in its ability to deploy AI on a global scale, requiring skilled manpower to maximize this potential. Collaborative efforts are underway with the government and private sector to train 1.5 lakh AI developers and update educational curricula to meet industry needs.

Meanwhile, Sify Technologies Chairman Raju Vegesna highlighted the necessity of investments in infrastructure like power supply and data centers for AI growth. He suggested that while the journey is long, India's offer of cost-effective manpower and scalability places it in a strong position in the global AI arena.
