Emergence India Labs: Pioneering India's AI Research Revolution

Emergence, a New York-based AI company founded by three Indian-American scientists, has launched Emergence India Labs, India's first dedicated AI research lab for autonomous agents. Located in Bengaluru, it aims to transform India's tech sector from IT services to advanced autonomous systems, collaborating with IISc and other partners.

Strategically located near the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the lab will work in close collaboration with the institute to foster joint research and nurture talent through hackathons and summer schools. The initiative aims to bolster India's capacity in autonomous systems by building on local talent and resources.

Emergence India Labs plans to employ 500 top-notch scientists over the next three to four years, thereby becoming a focal point for frontier AI research in the country. The lab's larger vision is to establish India's role in global autonomous systems research and engineering leadership.
