Ukraine and Latvia Forge Strategic Drone Partnership

Ukraine has signed a drone agreement with Latvia, strengthening defense and co-production capabilities. The deal will leverage Ukraine's drone warfare expertise, crucial amidst recent aerial incursions. This initiative adds Latvia to the list of nations collaborating with Kyiv on drone technology, as Ukraine aims to bolster European defenses against Russian threats.

Ukraine has entered a significant drone deal with Latvia to enhance joint defense measures, announced President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. This development occurred during a summit with Nordic and Baltic leaders in Tallinn, Estonia.

President Zelenskiy emphasized the importance of this agreement, highlighting Ukraine's role in fortifying its partners with its own drone warfare expertise, which has proven critical in countering Russian incursions. The specifics of the deal were not disclosed.

Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs acknowledged the strategic advantage, noting that the collaboration would bring technological benefits and production opportunities to Latvia. Zelenskiy also noted that Ukraine's drone initiative has attracted interest from nearly 20 countries, with Latvia being the sixth to join.
