NABCB signs mutual recognition arrangement of APAC * New Delhi, May 24 (PTI) The commerce ministry on Sunday said national accreditation body NABCB has inked a multilateral mutual recognition arrangement of Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC). This means that the accreditation of medical devices - quality management systems bodies by NABCB is now accepted as internationally equivalent within asia pacific region, it said.

Accreditation reduces risk for business and its customers by assuring that accredited conformity assessment bodies are competent to carry out the work they undertake within their scope of accreditation. National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) has signed the Multilateral Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) of APAC for its accreditation programme based on international standards, the ministry said.

APAC is the association of accreditation bodies and other bodies interested in the field of management systems, product, services, personnel and other similar certification programme in the Asia Pacific region..
