Healthium MedTech launches anti-microbial gloves TruShield

Healthium Medtech, one of the largest medical device companies in India, on Thursday announced the launch of anti-microbial gloves (AMGs), TruShield. Manufactured at Kunigal, Karnataka, these AMGs are made from a patented technology using a quaternary ammonium compound that the company said in a statement kills microbes and provides 99.99 per cent protection for healthcare professionals and patients up to eight hours.

The company had recently launched Truglyde SN2355, a suture needles combination specially created for COMOC MG, a surgical technique to manage Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH), which is one of the largest causes for maternal mortality. "Healthium also launched the largest shoulder range of Arthroscopic devices in India benefitting Arthroscopy surgeons through simplified and functional patented designs. The company holds 52 patents in India and the US," the statement added.

Group Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Healthium, Anish Bafna said 85 per cent of medical devices in India are imported. "...we are working relentlessly to reduce the dependence on imported technology and support a self-reliant ('Atmanirbhar') India," he said.PTI RS SS PTI PTI
