Whatsapp revamps Report feature, users can now choose to save chats

The report feature in Whatsapp is now revamped in the latest beta version 2.18.246, users will now be able to retain the chat history for the groups or individuals they report.

The report feature in Whatsapp is now revamped in the latest beta version 2.18.246, users will now be able to retain the chat history for the groups or individuals they report.

A new alert box now appears in both individual and group chats that prompts the user to just block a contact or exit a group rather than automatically deleting the conversation with the action.

WABetaInfo was the first to inform this development and we have verified the information while testing the latest beta version.

You can access the new Report feature by going into the individual/group chat that you wish to report, click on the three dots menu on the top right, go to view contact/view group info and select report.

The feature might get some modifications if it makes it to the stable release of Whatsapp.
